Benchmaster produces a quality product. – I have a number of Benchmaster pistol racks and very pleased. All are mounted on desktop or used in range bag.
With this single pistol rack, which I intended to use in an under-the-desk horizontal position, I’m not pleased with the strength if the two magnetic strips.
In a vertical position, they would be adequate (not strong but adequate) but in a horizontal position with an average size pistol (ex: Sig 226 or 229) I don’t see it as being held firmly in place.
No disrespect to a quality company, jusy my opinion given my intended use. Perhaps Benchmaster assumes this to be used in a vertical plane. That assumed, I’d give it 1 more star.

Good for the price and utility – Good for the price and utility. Wish the foam padding was more forgiving and able to form around the weapon without tearing ripping. The magnet holding the rack to the gun cabinet would also benefit from stronger magnets so it would not move from putting the weapon in.

Very nice and to me better than the metal ones – Very nice and to me better than the metal ones, but it you have large / heavy pistols, the top of the (rubber?) tend to fold over… I solved it by putting things on either side (I’m speaking of the 6 pistol holder) to help shore it up…

Not Bad – Not bad.. wasn’t to happy with the velcro that it comes with, but I swapped it out with some store bought stuff and was satisfied.

This is a really nice way to store your handguns – This is a really nice way to store your handguns. I got mine so I could put them inside the front door of my safe. Rather than buying and installing the other half of the velcro patch (which it does not come with) I just bought some cheap heavy duty magnets with adhesive sides and stuck them on there. I tested with with a revolver with a 6.5″ barrel and it worked very well. I even tried it using a very heavy High Point .45 and it worked perfectly. I think using magnets is a better option since the velcro strip comes pre-attached and is vertical and only about an inch wide. The velcro option may work better for some, though. The rack itself seems to be pretty sturdy and holds the handguns in a good position. I’ll definitely be buying a few more of these.

Plenty strong for securely holding even heavy, full-sized handguns – I was concerned due to other reviewers saying the magnets were not strong enough to hold their handguns, but I had no such problem. These are strong enough to hold a full sized, steel-frame service pistol without any issues, at least when stuck to bare steel. It’s definitely secure and is not going anywhere. Solid construction and nothing that could scratch my pistols. Very pleased with these and expect to purchase more

I would give it 5 stars but the magnet isn’t … – I would give it 5 stars but the magnet isn’t strong enough for 1911 and above. Had to use command strips to help it stay.

Great Product – Really nice initial quality. Magnets hold well to my green stack-on 8-gun cabinet. My Glock 17 fits just fine in it – The gun is not meant to sit “all the way down” inside of this rack, like a holster. Instead, the trigger guard is supposed to rest on the pad, allowing the pistol grip to be grabbed with ease. Liked it enough that i am going to buy a second one.
Very Important:
* This is not “child-safe” whatsoever. This is an open holster, intended to allow quick access to a (most likely) loaded firearm. Don’t use this item in houses with children.

Really nice addition to my gun cabinet – Really nice addition to my gun cabinet. Build well and the magnet is plenty strong. I have a Berretta Px4 9mm compact and there is no way the holder will fall off the inside of my cabinet. One thing I wish it had magnets on both sides. I have it on my cabinet door so when I open it the holder is facing front. If it faced back I could grab the gun faster if needed.

BenchMaster Single – I like it, well made, does the job. My gun is a Walthers PKS and fits snug but can be removed quickly. I like the Velcro which allows you to attach anyplace wanted. I recommend this product, its not made out of flimsy paper product. Should hold up for quite awhile.
